Now in its 46th year, the Southern 80 has become an Australian icon event.
A gruelling race on the MurrayRiver, the event starts in Torrumbarry and finishes in Echuca Moama. Attracting competitors from around the world, boats travel at speeds in excess of 170km/h through 126 hair raising bends on the Murray with 2 skiers behind. The Southern 80 is the ultimate action sports event.
4th, 5th & 6th March 2011.
Showcasing the produce of Echuca-Moama and District. This fresh and exciting celebration of regional food, wine, and produce takes place in the historical port precinct of Echuca. This event takes place under the regional umbrella program of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2011 and is one of the only events in Northern Victoria held outside of Melbourne.
