The Southern 80 Ski Race has a new date for 2023.

Friday 24th to the 26th March 2023.

The river is slowly receding away in Echuca/Moama, and we look forward to seeing the river within its banks in the coming weeks ahead. The bushlands around the river are wet and will need to be assessed by Parks Victoria and NSW National Parks and Wildlife to ensure safety for all.

With this in mind, the Moama Water Sports Club have decided to move the Southern 80 Ski Race from the traditional date in February to a new date for 2023 the 24th to the 26th of March.

We encourage you to visit Echuca/Moama over the coming holiday period and discover our region beyond the river.

We look forward to seeing you for the 2023 Southern 80 on the 24th to the 26th March 2023.

Southern 80 is the world’s largest ski race.

An elite line-up of International and Australian skiers, vying for the prestigious superclass title, traversing 80kms of bends and straights of the mighty Murray River.

The action includes the Breakfast with the stars and great racing such as the Baker’s Blitz, the Presidents Dash and the Southern 80 ski race.

Saturday’s action takes place between Moama’s Five Mile Reserve and the Victoria Park Finish Line Precinct.

Saturday’s highlights include the Top 40 Shootout (including the presidents dash and bakers blitz) with the top 40 boats vying for pole position on Sunday.

Sunday’s action takes place between Torrumbarry Weir and the Victoria Park Finish Line Precinct.

Sunday’s highlights include the top boats fighting it out to win the Southern 80.
