Murray River Open for Recreational Use:

The section of the Murray River between the Hume Dam Wall (Albury) and the Murray and Wakool River Junction (which includes Echuca Moama) is no longer subject to any NSW Maritime imposed special restrictions. Activities within these areas have reverted to normal marine legislation that always applies.

As flood waters recede, parts of the Murray Darling Basin including the Murray, Murrumbidgee, Darling and Edward Rivers are now open for use. With that being said, boaters are strongly encouraged to exercise extreme caution when navigating on these waterways due to changed conditions, submerged hazards and floating debris.

To keep yourself safe and protect saturated riverbanks, always keep a proper lookout, travel at a safe speed and minimise wash.

Boat Ramp Access:

Public Boat Ramps are open - Five Mile Boat Ramp, Victoria Park Boat Ramp and Echuca East Boat Ramp are all open for boat ramp use only (BBQ and picnic area's are closed). Please be aware of the risk of falling trees while using riverside area's.
