What's on in EM this Easter!

We have a whole lot of family friendly fun in Echuca Moama and surrounds this weekend!

ACTION/ADVENTURE

Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt ~ Come along and visit Easter Bunny and Mr Hooker Bear at the 208 Primary School Oval at 10:00am sharp.  Entry: $5 per child, bags supplied and proceeds donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Division at Royal Children's Hospital.

Echuca United Football and Netball Club and Moama Football Netball Club ~ will battle it out for the annual 3 Jacks Trophy. Two States, Two Towns, Two Clubs – One Trophy.  The 3 Jacks Trophy honors Moama’s Jack Eddy, Echuca South’s Jack Hay and Echuca East’s Jack O’Neill. A great day of sporting action at Moama Recreation Reserve on Good Friday.

Echuca Lawn Tennis Club ~ Players from around the state will flock to Echuca for the 91st Annual Easter Tournament.  With over 800 entries and more than 300 players expected for the four day tournament in Women's, Men's and Junior competitions there's plenty of action for spectators.  

Heartland Raceway Moama ~ Speedway action returns to the Heartland Raceway over Easter with the Australian Super Sedan Titles.  The heats kick off on Friday 19 April. Gates open at 4:00pm and on track action commences from 5:30pm.  Full canteen and bar facilities available.  
Adults: $25 Children (11-16): $10, (5-11) $5.00 and under 5 FREE.  No Eftpos available at the track.

Echuca Moama Parkrun ~ a free weekly timed 5km run suitable for all fitness levels. Echuca Moama Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 8am at Lions Park. Please visit: www.parkrun.com.au/echucamoama

TwistED Science ~ Hands on Holiday Workshops run every day of the school holidays.  Make your own bath bombs or chameleon putty! Bookings essential: www.twistedscience.com.au 

Kyabram Lawn Tennis Club ~ Annual Easter Tournament is on Saturday to Monday and features both Junior and Senior events.  A great day out for spectators.

GVFL Football and Netball ~ Exciting Football/Netball action comes to Victoria Park Oval on Easter Saturday when Echuca takes on Tatura. All eyes will be on ex Carlton AFL star - Andrew Walker who will do battle against former Carlton team mate - Jason Tutt. Full bar and catering facilities available throughout the day and quality coffee is available on site. 

Echuca Back 9 Golf Course Hole in One Competition ~ get a hole in one and win $500 cash! Nearest to the pin cash prizes also available.  Easter Saturday, 10:00am - 3:00pm.  Cost: $5 for 3 balls - enter as many times as you like! All levels welcome.

Easter Sailpast Cruise and Fireworks Display ~ Sunday 21 April.  Access to the Echuca Wharf is available from 4:30pm with the Sailpast to take place around 6:30pm (dependent on sunset) followed by a fabulous Fireworks display.  View the action from the Wharf or book onboard one of the boats taking part on the Murray River.

Echuca Harness Racing Club ~ Easter Sunday Twilight Cup.  Full on course catering and TAB as well as live entertainment and kid’s activities.  The Easter Bunny will be visiting with Easter Eggs, face painting and jumping castle. Gates open at 5.00pm.  Adults: $10.00, Children: FREE. First race at 5.42pm.

ARTS & CULTURE

Kyabram Town Hall ~ Gallery Exhibition ~ on show Women of the Empire, The Homecoming Exhibition.  This exhibition showcases the stories of WW1 Women on their return after serving their country.  The stories are told through clothes and memorabilia. Entry: $10 (concession: $8).
Isabel Harvey is showcasing a selection of clothing from around the world.  This International Exhibition is $8 to enter (concession: $6).
And Ozquilt network Australia Wide Six exhibition showcasing textile artwork with a variety of stitched and layered textiles. 
The Gallery is open 10:00am - 4:00pm (except Sundays)

Echuca Historical Society ~ After the Ball is Over Debs and Belles exhibition of ball gowns and photographs. 
Open daily from 11:00am - 3:00pm (except Good Friday). 

The Foundry Arts Space ~ Local Murray Mizfits artists Judi Bilkey, Michelle Goddon, Di Richmond, Leanne Willis and Kristen Dyer have painted to the theme of Habitat and what it means to them. Open daily from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Echuca Koori Arts and Crafts Market ~ Easter Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm showcasing live music, artefacts, jewellery and traditional food;

Alton Gallery ~ Echuca Moama Artists is an eclectic exhibition with some imaginative interpretations of the theme Black and White! Open Easter Saturday 10:00am - 1:00pm, Closed Good Friday.  FREE ENTRY.

Rich River Golf Club Resort ~ Powderworks - Midnight Oil Show on Easter Saturday.  Live and Free from 9.00pm. Courtesy Bus available.

Echuca Farmer's Market ~ Taste fresh local food and support grower's by shopping locally.  The market will take place at Alton Reserve in Hare street from 8.00am - 12.00noon on Easter Saturday.  Enjoy a cooked breakfast and freshly brewed coffee from 8:30am - 11:30am

The Strawberry Pick ~ Enjoy a unique Pick Your Own strawberry experience.  Open daily from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Music in the Vines at Cape Horn Vineyard ~ Daniel Aaron will perform live from 1:00pm - 4:00pm Good Friday, Saturday Georgina Bish, Sunday Lokki Somerville and Monday Kim Kneebone.

Rushworth Market - The Easter Heritage Market is held from 8:00am - 1:00pm on Easter Saturday.

1710 Brew Co at Morrisons Winery ~ Simon Marks will be performing live on Easter Saturday and Jesslyn Credlin Music on Easter Sunday, 2:30pm to 5:00pm.

Echuca Moama Market ~ Easter Sunday at Moama Soundshell Gardens from 8:00am - 2:00pm.  Featuring collectibles and treasures, fresh produce, fruit and veggies, clothing and accessories, kids activities, food and drinks!

JUST A SHORT DRIVE

Rushworth Easter Fair ~ a two day event in and around Rushworth.  Saturday's festival held in High Street incorporates music, entertainment, food stalls and a street parade.  There is also an art and craft exhibition, steam engine display and museum.  Sunday's event is held at Moora and includes a working draft horse muster.  For further info: www.rushwortheasterfestival.org.au

Deniliquin Under the Stars Rodeo ~ Easter Saturday: gates open at 4:00pm.  Highlights include the Open Bull Ride, Saddle Bronc, Barrell Racing and Comedy Clowns as well as kids activities and live music. 

Mathoura's Annual Murray River Duck Race ~ on Easter Sunday at Picnic Point from 12:00noon.  Bring your furry friend and enter the Pooch Parade and enjoy a BBQ lunch on the banks of the mighty Murray. 

Deniliquin Festival ~ Highlights of the festival include the Rotary Easter Arts Show all weekend at the Multi Arts Hall; Sculpture Exhibition all weekend at the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery; Art Out Artisan and Vintage Market on Easter Saturday at Waring Gardens (8:30am to 1pm) and the Lions Club Community Market on Easter Monday in Waring Gardens (8:30am to to 1:00pm). There will be a kids 4 kids fun day on Friday at Deniliquin RSL Bowling Club as well as live music in various venues throughout the weekend.
