1.  Bees, Blossoms & Butterflies ~ 1-3 November

Visit the Old School Winery & Womboota Pottery and enjoy springtime in a country garden!  Pick up your complimentary souvenir garden map at the winery and experience the ‘’Bees, Blossoms and Butterflies’’ Self-Guided Spring Garden Walk in their Cellar Door Garden.  Browse a range of handmade Honey Bee inspired pottery, sample delicious mead (honey wine) or relax in the garden with a picnic! 2. Rochester Sports Museum ~ 1-3 November

John Forbes was the National Promotions Manager at Puma for 22 years and during this time

amassed a private memorabilia collection from a varying array of sports and personalities.  The

Rochester Lions Club have been gifted access to the collection and the Rochester Railway Station

now provides a new home.  Open Thursday to Sunday, 10.00am – 4.00pm.


3. The Big Cohuna Festival ~ 1-5 November

The 2019 Big Cohuna Festival is bigger than ever and includes a street food festival; art displays; live

music; open farms; creekside fair; farmers and makers market; lots of outdoor family activities.

4. Fishing the Murray River Exhibition at Echuca Historical Society ~ 1-7 November
    
Discover the history of Murray River Fishing, from Aboriginal fish traps to commercial and recreational fishing of today.  The exhibition features photographs, stories and memorabilia centered around creatures with scales and gills.  The exhibition is on show until 31st January

5. Kyabram Town Hall Gallery Exhibition ~ 1-7 November

‘Be Persuaded – Jane Austen’ now on show at the Kyabram Town Hall Gallery until 11 November. Experience the world of Jane Austen bought to life through rare fashion from the 18th century and the regency era.  Be persuaded displays original fashion items from the period in the 18th century when the author was born up to the 1840’s.  Entry is $10 or $8 for concession.  

Also on show is the exhibition ‘Capturing the Decades: 1880 to 2000’ showcasing Design, Fabric and Construction – Putting Country Women’s Fashion at the forefront.

The exhibition is on show until February.  Entry to this exhibition is $8 adults and $6 children.

Pick Your Own Strawberry Season has officially started.  The Strawberry Pick also offer a fabulous range of delicious goodies including coffee, scones and milkshakes.  Open Saturday through to Tuesday, 9.00am - 4.00pm.

9. Kyabram Fauna Park, New Arrivals ~ 2 November

The Kyabram Fauna Park welcomes the pitter patter of little paws with the arrival of to two alpine dingo puppies.  Dingo puppy encounters will take place daily and cost $30pp for 20 minutes.  Bookings will be available from this weekend.

10. Echuca Moama Parkrun ~ 2 November

Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5km run suitable for all fitness levels.

Taste fresh food and support local grower's when you buy locally.  Echuca Farmers Market is an

accredited Farmers Market and operates at the Alton Reserve, Hare Street Echuca from 8.00am –

13. 19th Annual Mathoura Country Kids Festival ~ 2 November

Loads of market stalls, food and entertainment.  Kids activities include face painting, rock climbing, laser tag, jumping castle, mechanical bull, camel rides and a petting zoo.  All access tickets are available on the day for $20 kids 2 to 5 and $30 for kids 5 plus (under 2’s free).  Camel Rides are an additional $10.00.

14. Mathoura Speed Shear ~ 2 November

At the Mathoura Football Oval with registration from 9.30am and Shearing from 1.00pm.

Categories for Intermediate, Women, Contractors Relay, Seniors, Open and Trans Tasman

Competitors.  This Year the event will also feature the Mathoura Chainsaw Competition from 11.00am

with the open cross cut, team cross cut and broadaxe demonstrations and Tug-A-War competition.

Entry for spectators is a gold coin donation with kids activities, BBQ’s all day and licensed bar

operating. Live entertainment from 7.00pm to 10.00pm

15. Rochester Town Garage Sale ~ 2 November

A whole town garage sale with over 80 locations participating showcasing Rochester.  This is a great opportunity to recycle, reuse and grab a bargain.  Businesses in town all offer great deals on the day. 8.00am to 2.00pm.  Maps of locations are available for $2.00 from 7.30am at Rochester Bakery, Rochester Newsagents and Caltex Rochester.

17. Riverlive - Murray River Paddlesteamers ~ 2 November

An old fashioned market that's about local producers, growers, makers and shakers.  Local produce

and home made gifts will be available.  Campaspe Stadium in Allen Street.

20. Miniature Train Rides Sunday ~ 3 November

The Campaspe Miniature Railway Club will be running ride-on trains starting at 10:00am until 3:00pm. The Miniature Rail track is located inside Rotary Park, Echuca at the corners of Crossen Street, Rose Street & Campaspe Esplanade. Follow the miniature railway rides signs.

Rides are $4.00 each or $10.00 for an all day ticket.  The rides are well suited to pre-school and primary school aged children (passengers under 4yo need to be accompanied by an adult).

21. Sounds for the Soul ~ 3 November

Sounds for the Soul is a concert series bringing you relaxing, uplifting and joyous music in the  historic

Echuca Moama Uniting Church.  A wonderful way to while away your Sunday afternoons. Performing

Live, the Echuca Federal Band from 2.00pm.

All performances in the church are $15, tickets at the door.

22. Shamrock Hotel – Rockin’ the Garden ~ 3 November

The day takes on an amazing atmosphere! With the shopping strip in Hare Street closed to traffic

between 9.00am and 2.00pm it transforms into a giant street fair with retailers bargain stalls, pop-up

food stalls and children's entertainment including jumping castle, petting zoo, camel rides and other

activities.

30. Echuca Racing Club Melbourne Cup Day Meeting ~ 5 November

A great day of live thoroughbred racing at the Echuca Racing Club on Melbourne Cup Day.  Food Beverage and TAB facilities on course as well as a playground area for kids.  Fashions on the Field and Live Entertainment, and of course all the action from Flemington with the running of the Melbourne Cup on the big screen.  Gates open at 10.15am.
