Echuca Heritage Sweet Company Heathers Quilting Emporium

Shopping has never been easier, with many convenient shopping precincts within Echuca and a variety of stores along Meninya Street in Moama. Echuca's bustling central business district of Hare Street is the vibrant centre of town. Whatever you need, you will find it in Hare Street.

Pharmacies, fashion centres, book shops, newsagents, sports shops and music stores grace the street, alongside big-name department stores and intimate gift shops. If in the midst of a hard day's shopping you develop hunger pangs or work up a thirst,a number of cafes dot the street, perfect for a light lunch or a coffee.

If visiting on the Melbourne Cup weekend, you are in for a treat.Hare Street is closed to traffic on the Monday for the Turkish Bazaar,a bonanza for bargain-hunters.Retailers bring their wares out onto the street to sell at often heavily-reduced prices, and the whole day takes on a carnival atmosphere.

High Street,in the port area,is lined with historic buildings housing old-fashioned lolly shops, boutiques, delicatessens, outdoor disposals and souvenir shops. Most of the shops are open until 5pm,seven days a week. The old-time ambience is reminiscent of Echuca's heyday and,as you witness a horse and carriage clip clop down the street, you would be forgiven for thinking you had stepped back in time. Safeway Square, between Anstruther and Nish streets, houses a small collection of shops in one convenient location.

All of the necessities can also be found along Meninya Street in Moama. As soon as you cross the bridge, sweeping to the left you see a newsagent on one corner and a pub on the other.Hmmm… decisions, decisions.Pick up some forgotten goodies at the supermarket, send a postcard at the post office or enjoy a meal at any of the great eateries, all within a block or two.
