Scenic Drive/Boat Ramp Echuca

The scenic drive winds along the Murray to the Junction of the Campaspe River. There are plenty of spots to enjoy the Murray River, or there are picnic tables at the Boat ramp area.

Horseshoe Lagoon Moama

Horseshoe Lagoon has a picturesque boardwalk through the lagoon area with historic plaques along it and suitable area’s for a picnic.

Moama Beach

Moama Beach is a sandy area on the river for picnicking by the river, or maybe throwing in a line.

BBQ Areas

After you have visited many of the attractions in the region, enjoy a picnic lunch or a relaxing BBQ in one of the regions many picturesque reserves and parks:

Aquatic Reserve, Echuca

a man-made depression with red gum trees and grass overlooking a small lagoon. The area has picnic tables and a BBQ and is located beside the Visitor Information Centre.

Victoria Park, Echuca

Victoria Park has picnic tables and a BBQ under large shady trees. It is located beside Echuca Holiday Park and is walking distance to the river.

Campaspe River Lions Park, Echuca

A shady spot by the Campaspe River Bridge which has tables, BBQ and toilets.

Apex Park, Echuca

A lovely park with toilets and undercover BBQ’s. It has a playground and is fenced off, so you don’t need to worry about the kids wandering off.

Kerrabee Soundshell, Moama

A grassy area with Shady trees the Soundshell has a BBQ, rotunda and playground and there are public toilets located at the rear of the Murray Shire office.

Moama Adventure Playpark, Moama

The Adventure Playpark is a great venue for families. Located at the rear of the Moama Sports Club the park has an adventure playground, large undercover BBQ area with picnic tables and public toilet facilities close by.

Moama Lions/Swimming Pool, Moama

Beside the Moama Swimming Pool this area has BBQ facilities.

Apex Park, Moama

Located in Moama’s main street the Apex Park has BBQ facilities and picnic tables. The park is fenced and has a small area with play equipment.

Mathoura Visitor Information Centre, Mathoura

This shady area has a BBQ and picnic tables as well as public toilets.

Memorial Park, Mathoura

Located in central Mathoura, Memorial Park has a BBQ and picnic tables.

Picnic Point, Mathoura

Located on the banks of the Murray River, Picnic Point has a BBQ and picnic tables and is a lovely setting amongst the redgums.
