Echuca-Moama is known for its fresh food, as the area is surrounded by beef and dairy farms, vegetable and grain growers and orchards. Eateries around the district do their best to support local industry and fresh produce, honey, eggs and homemade jams, relishes,sauces and dressings can be purchased from markets, which are held almost every weekend.
A farmers market is held at Echuca’s Alton Reserve on the first, third and fifth Saturday of every month, while Moama’s Kerrabee Soundshell plays host to a number of markets each month.
