REGIONAL TELEVISION CAMPAIGN
Regional Television Campaign-EMT will be rolling out a new regional television
marketing campaign from the 25th October through to the end of November 2009.
The windows will be Ballarat, Bendigo and Shepparton which provides us with a 65%
spread of Victoria.
The advertisement will be seen on WIN, Prime and Ten and will feature on quality
programs such as 60 Minutes, Sunrise, The Today Show and so on.
The primary purpose of this campaign is to drive business to the new EMT EMagine web
site and to create maximum consumer interest in the lead up period to Christmas.
This regional television campaign will be complemented by a metro print media push in
the Melbourne Age and Sun Herald.
AUSTRALIAN TOURISM EXPORT
Australian Tourism Export Council international export training workshop was
completed yesterday. Thank you to all of those who attended and a big thank you to Kate
McDonald (Marketing Manager) Moama Bowling Club for hosting the event.
There are several more of these types of workshops that will be delivered to EMT
Members between February and April 2010.
WEB SITE
Website - The new web site will be launched at the EMT AGM !
SEARCH ENGINE
Searchengine Works-Has now commenced on the new site and will continue for
approximately 6 months.
The primary purpose of this process is to ensure that the EMT website appears on page 1
when any potential consumer goes looking (Googling) for our region and it’s products
and services on-line.
MEETING MART 2009
Meeting Mart 2009-This event and conference show will be held in Melbourne on the
19th October with both Simon and Ingrid from EMT in attendance on the stand.
The stand will feature the new EMagine branding and stand display material.
It is anticipated that the show will attract the key conference and events buyers in
Victoria.
MURRAY TACTICAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Murray Tactical Marketing Campaign- We will be rolling out heavily EMT subsidized
co-operative advertising opportunities for a November print media campaign to members
within a fortnight
These will include opportunities as follows:
-Sun Herald Escape, full page-Accommodation sector
-Melbourne Age-Epicure, full page-Food & Wine sector
The campaign will feature full page colour, ½ page editorial and ½ page advertisements
will web site call to action
MELBOURNE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL REGIONAL UMBRELLA
Melbourne Food & Wine Festival Regional Umbrella –Event Submission- As you know
we were successful in winning this festival.
The organizing committee is currently being created and it will include representation
from the Celtic Festival.
The primary marketing for this campaign will see a listing in the Melbourne Food &
Wine Festival web site and an A3 sized brochure listing our event being inserted in the
Melbourne Age.
We are very confident that this festival will generate significant media and consumer
attention to the event and as a result deliver good bed night statistics!
CAMS EVENT STATUS
CAMS Event Status- Their 5 man team of planners spent all day Monday and Tuesday
this week trawling around for key site options.
They are very keen to have this event here and we are all working towards a successful
conclusion.
It is our hope that the outcomes of this final process will come out well and that a positive
public announcement can be made soon.
A BIG thank you to Vern Beasley for giving up his time to act as ‘’tour guide’’ for these
people and to the crew at Beechworth Bakery for providing everyone with lunch, and to
the team at Quest for accommodating everybody - very much appreciated!
EMT AGM
EMT’s 2008/2009 AGM will be held on Thursday 22nd October 2009 at the Rich River
Golf Club, 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Tickets $35.00 per head includes a 3 course meal

AIR ACCESS
This proposal has generated substantial media interest and that in turn has assisted greatly
in getting the proposal to this current position. A request has now been submitted for
funding so as to allow a feasibility study to be carried out. We wait……..
